SCNAT platforms

Specific platforms and their scientific bodies deal with topics that are important to social and science policy. The platforms also unite the specialist societies of the various scientific disciplines as well as the Cantonal and Regional societies under their umbrella. The specialist societies and natural science societies are members of SCNAT.

Platform Biology
It promotes dialogue and knowledge transfer between the different specialist fields and comprises 18 associations and 5 national committees.

Platform Chemistry
It pools together and disseminates the expert knowledge of the chemistry divisions in Switzerland and provides knowledge transfer.

It acts as the interface between the geosciences divisions and between research, practice, policy-making and general public.

It supports the specialist societies and working groups. It promotes and coordinates research and education in the domain of MAP.
